About Driving Theory Mock Test

What we are, and what we are not

We are not DVSA, and we are not the booking service. You book your real test through GOV.UK, and nothing here is a substitute for that.

What we do have is a Crown copyright licence from DVSA that lets us use the DVSA revision question bank, used under licence. That licence is the whole of our relationship with them. They do not run this site, they do not check our work, and our use of their material does not mean they recommend us.

The questions here are revision questions. They are the ones published for people to revise from, not the ones you will be asked on the day, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.

Why we built it

More than half of car theory tests end in a fail, and every retake costs the fee again. DVSA’s own figures put the pass rate at 44.8% across 2,924,430 car theory tests in April 2025 to March 2026. That is a lot of money spent twice, mostly by people who are seventeen.

So the design rules here are simple. Practise under the same conditions as the real test. Do not show you an answer before you have committed to one, because recognising a right answer is not the same as knowing it. Show you what you keep getting wrong, and let you drill it until you do not.

How we make money

People pay for access. There is no advertising, nothing about you is sold, and there is a free tier that does not need an account so you can judge the thing before paying for it. A share of what we take goes to DVSA as a royalty under the licence.
